The Department of Psychology and Ergonomics (K100W08ND12) was established on September 1, 2025, by decision of the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

The Department operates within the Faculty of Management (until September 14, 2021: the Faculty of Computer Science and Management) at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Head of Department: Prof. Jerzy Grobelny, DSc, Eng.

Research and teaching areas of the Department include:

  • individual and group behavior in organizational environments

  • attitudes toward work – determinants and consequences

  • factors shaping managerial and leadership styles

  • effectiveness and efficiency of leadership styles

  • psychological aspects of human–computer interaction and activities in virtual space

  • analysis and design of workstations

  • workload – diagnosis and consequences

  • usability analysis of information systems

  • factors influencing the professional activity of people with functional limitations

  • formal modeling of the human–machine system

  • knowledge and project management

  • evolution of organizational structures

  • physical space in management processes, corporate aesthetics, and architecture
