Anna Borkowska

borkowska-cut.jpgPhD in psychology, graduate of the University of Wrocław, affiliated with Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Management for over 20 years. Associate Professor (teaching staff group). Her research interests concern the social and psychological context of professional and community activity: work engagement, well-being, and values pursued in work. In research, teaching, and organizational roles, she strives to implement the principles of positive psychology, particularly building resources for people, teams, and communities.

She has long been engaged in projects promoting positive social change at the university, including work on university strategy, studies of teacher and student needs and satisfaction, diagnosis of inequality, and research on well-being, mental health, and work–life balance. She was a co-founder and the first director of the Center for Teaching Excellence. Currently, she collaborates with Vice-Rector Prof. Karolina Jaklewicz on community development and integration, and serves as Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Counteracting Discrimination.
